Why this exists

Planning São Tomé is harder than the trip itself.

The useful information is scattered across ageing blog posts, Portuguese-language pages, hotel brochures and WhatsApp numbers passed around forums. Prices vary with whoever you ask. Príncipe works differently again.

We bring that together in one place, keep it dated and sourced, and, when you want it, match you with a local guide, driver or operator and coordinate the booking. You get the independence of a self-planned trip without the guesswork.

How it works

How the islands fit together

One country, four very different trips.

The capital and the north

São Tomé city, the airport, the dry northern coast, beaches and fishing villages towards Neves. Most trips start and end here.

The centre

Cool, wet cloud forest. Lagoa Amélia, Pico de São Tomé and the old coffee and cacao estates of Monte Café and Trindade.

The south

Rougher roads and the island’s wildest scenery: Pico Cão Grande, black-rock coves, Porto Alegre and the boat to Ilhéu das Rolas on the equator.

Príncipe

Smaller, quieter and largely forested, a UNESCO biosphere reserve with very limited public transport. Plan it separately.

Príncipe

A separate trip inside your trip.

Different flights, different logistics, almost no public transport and cash you need to bring with you. Our Príncipe guide covers it end to end.

Itineraries built around the flight, the roads and the weather.

Researched starting points, not packages. Each one shows drive times, where to sleep, what must be booked ahead and where a buffer day protects the rest of your trip.

Honest by design

What we are, and what we are not.

We are

  • An independent planning and booking service for São Tomé & Príncipe.
  • A human planner who replies to you, not a booking engine.
  • Clear about who delivers each part of your trip, and what you pay, to whom, and when.
  • Explicit about what we have checked, how, and when.

We are not

  • Based on the islands. Your guides and drivers are; we plan and coordinate remotely.
  • A tourism board, an airline or a hotel.
  • The only good source. Hotels, local operators and guidebooks can also help.
  • Going to call a supplier “verified” before we have actually done the checks.

How we check suppliers and information

Plan with a person

Tell us what kind of trip you want.

Send your dates and what you want from the trip. We reply with practical options, the supplier we would use for each part, what is confirmed and what is not, and a clear total price.

Tell us about your trip

No payment to ask. Nothing is booked until you confirm a written quote.
